“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised” – Luke 4:19

Notice that the #1 priority of Jesus ministry on earth is to preach the gospel to the poor…by this point, it is common knowledge that all churches in the USA are shut down from the corona virus but have you noticed that the only legal exception is for Christian organizations that serve and minister to the poor and homeless? True!

———-

The following from Colorado.gov website regarding Covid19 critical services:

Providers of Basic Necessities to Economically Disadvantaged Populations, Including:

  • homeless shelters and congregate care facilities
  • food banks
  • human services providers whose function includes the direct care of patients in state-licensed or funded voluntary programs; the care, protection, custody and oversight of individuals both in the community and in state-licensed residential facilities; those operating community shelters and other critical human services agencies providing direct care or support.

———-

Our poor and hungry homeless neighbors need four critical things: #1 be provided the Gospel, #2 heal their broken hearts with love, hope, and friendship, #3 give them fresh water, #4 feed them.

And that’s exactly what we did today. My old truck is broke down again so I busted out my bicycle and bike shelter #4 and headed over to sister Delfinia’s home to pick up a bunch of homemade sandwiches, burritos, snacks, and bottles of water. I took along my friends Chris and my friend Regan who is a registered nurse.

We distributed all of the food and water, did a lot of praying for these precious souls, and gave out many copies of Jesus Commandments. God is good, and Delfinia’s food was excellent! – dutch

“They turn the needy out of the way: the poor of the earth hide themselves together.” – Job 24:4

Churches and church food banks are now universally shut down from the coronavirus pandemic but faithful sister Delfinia called me to come pick up a cooler full of sandwiches, fruit cup snacks, and popcorn to take out to the hungry homeless camps. I also handed out copies of Jesus Commandments and we did a lot of praying.

The biggest struggle right now for our homeless neighbors is they need food, they need somewhere to get fresh water, need somewhere to go to the bathroom, and somewhere to take a shower and wash their clothes, but EVERYWHERE is closed.

The verse above from book of Job is coming true, in times of crisis poor people come together for their shared survival…kinda like sheep if you think about it. The churches and their food banks being shut down forces these homeless to rely upon Jesus in faith now more than ever. I’m not exaggerating when I say that without Jesus working through faithful and obedient christians like Delfinia that our homeless neighbors would starve.

God bless you Delfinia, thank you for your humble efforts, they are feeding Jesus sheep and bringing faith to these precious souls. The need for more food is now critical and my truck desperately needs repairs and gasoline to continue visiting and ministering to these precious souls. My dayjob income is gone…can you help? Will you help? – dutch

“…Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep” – John 21:17

Nicholas and I got the call that a local Englewood church that is shutdown from this Coronavirus had some food at their foodbank storage garage that needed to distributed or would end up thrown away. So we took my old truck, went down and loaded up as much as we could and headed out to distribute food at the nearby homeless camps.

You wouldn’t believe the look and tears of JOY and surprise on the faces of these precious souls when we announced that Jesus knew they were hungry and here was their food!

Jesus planned a surplus of food FAR IN ADVANCE of this Coronavirus crisis. The devil and his wicked kingdom who created this global virus pandemic will NEVER OUTSMART Jesus!

God bless you Nicholas for coordinating this emergency food distribution effort! Jesus will always provide the food but will YOU be obedient to feed his sheep? We need help! -dutch

“Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ” – Galatians 6:2

This global virus has truly opened my eyes at who is faithful and who is fearful. But meanwhile while the satanically guided governments preach full isolation there are still people in desperate need of help.

The Lord directed me a few months ago deep into a quiet industrial neighborhood near Santa Fe and Mississippi. In this neighborhood were several homeless folks living in broken down cars and old ramshackle broken down campers. There is no food, fresh water, or access to toilets in this particular area and no trees or grass just an endless sea of cracked pavement, broken sidewalks, and muddy gravel filled gutters. Grim, very grim place to live. But among this grim gang graffiti decorated industrial landscape I have met some of the most beautiful and creative souls the Lord ever created.

We as christians need to start learning to love the things God loves and to HATE the things God hates…this means learning to love (and help) these precious homeless human souls and HATE the devil and demons who have caused these precious souls to end up in such grinding poverty. Jesus and his Apostles command us to help our fellow man in their time of distress. We need to give these precious homeless souls clothing, feed them, hug them, teach them Jesus Commandments and encourage them to start obeying and serving Jesus.

Since talk is cheap sometimes the best way to win souls for Jesus is to put on your work clothes and help people. I spent yesterday after worship helping a homeless man I’d befriended finish replacing a fuel pump in his old Winnebago’s gas tank…absolutely gigantic job! I’m no mechanic but I do have tools (and plenty of free time from the country being shut down). Bearing one another’s burdens means leaving your house, it means getting dirty, it means giving your money, time, tools, and friendship to strangers in need. Jesus and his Apostles taught the command to help the helpless and although I’m nobody special I’m doing my best to obey my Lord Jesus…I want YOU to be inspired to do the same…get involved! Help me win souls for Jesus! These precious homeless souls are the greatest investment we could ever invest into, worth more than all the gold and silver in the universe – dutch

“And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead.” – Luke 10:30

Pray for Austin and his dog Moon. Austin recently was beaten up badly… while he was sleeping at his homeless camp. Imagine waking up to a viscious violent beating late at night while you’re sleeping….and not knowing why or who was hurting you.

I write this often but the violence and crime these homeless precious souls endure is far beyond anything the average christian can fathom. Austin has nothing in his life, he was wearing clothes that are literally rags… Austin has no money, no family, nobody to help him. His only loyal friend is his dog Moon.

Pray for Austin and better yet, consider getting involved. Austin needs clothing, he needs fresh water and food, he needs dog food, he needs a shower, he needs a bicycle and a tent (or a bicycle trailer shelter), and most importantly Austin needs Jesus and some Christian friends. If you’re reading this, YOU are commanded by Lord Jesus to help if you can. I gave Austin what I had to give which wasn’t much: copy of Jesus Commandments, a hug, bars of soap, a toothbrush, and an insulated blue flannel shirt. Austin lives nearby Youngfield and 44th where Golden meets Wheatridge. I hope to visit Austin again soon and bring him some food and friendship but perhaps you reading this live closer to him?

Please pray for these precious souls and get involved. I’m out of money and resources to assist these homeless precious souls like Austin but I do have time and a desire to do this important work for Jesus. – dutch

“If I have seen any perish for want of clothing, or any poor without covering” – Job 31:19

Dutch here: today Elder Ray from the Littleton Apostolic Church and Pastor Nicholas from Englewood Victory Church came out with me. We went to the large encampments along Bear Creek valley near Mullen High School in Sheridan first and then out towards Evans and Santa Fe in South Denver afterwards.

Today we were provided with a cooler full of homemade tinfoil wrapped breakfast burritos from Ms. Delfinia (delicious!) and brought along clothing, camping cots, and feminine hygiene products all courtesy of the generous souls at Littleton Apostolic Church. Nicholas brought along a huge chocolate cake and bags of oranges and toothpaste and toothbrushes from the generous souls at Englewood Victory Church. Together the three of us ventured out “urban hiking” while singing praise songs and talking about the Lord’s kingdom.

The souls we encounter out at these encampments and collections of broken down old RV’s need family and friendship, they need hugs, they need encouragement, and they need to hear a word from the Lord. As always, our ministry is simple, we hand out copies of Jesus Commandments, we minister to the earthly needs of these precious souls, and if the Lord leads us to say something specific about something we notice then we speak up.

The Lord desires that no man or woman perish that all souls would accept the invitation to obey the Gospel message. Many of the stories we listened to today are absolutely heartbreaking: these precious souls endure shocking violence and crime against them and their meager possessions. The devil’s kingdom never gives these precious souls a day to rest. One heartbroken young woman struggling in poverty just had her old broken down RV heavily vandalized not long before we showed up, she was in tears – it is just so heartbreaking to see what these precious souls suffer through.

We as children of God are commanded to help these precious souls in their time of poverty and distress. We must always remember that the most valuable and precious thing God ever created was human beings in his image and likeness. Remember that it is the souls of men and women who obey Jesus that inherit God’s kingdom, not the angels nor any other creation which ought to give you an idea of the value of these precious souls in God’s eyes!

As always the spiritual war for human souls needs more warriors on the battlefront. Please pray for more brave warriors for Jesus Kingdom like Elder Ray and Pastor Nicholas…and pray for not just for more warriors to join us but, for warriors to start homeless ministries elsewhere. These precious souls are WORTH fighting for and helping out!

Sunday February 23, 2020

No pictures today sorry! I left phone in truck but Pastor Nicholas and myself visited new homeless camps along Highway 285 in the Fort Logan area of SW Denver. And WOW the size and complexity of these camps is staggering! HUGE camps… absolutely HUGE!

We encountered a young lady named MJ who is a native from the Englewood / Sheridan area. We prayed with her, hugged her, and we had a brand new south american wool winter hat which she needed (cool hat too!) and we gave her copy of Jesus Commandments. In our prayer we specifically asked for the courtroom of Heaven to issue a restraining order against the devil and his evil kingdom so MJ can get some time to put her life back together without the constant supernatural hassles involved in being homeless. MJ needs some female hygiene products and some clothes and some christian friends. Can you help?

We will be visiting MJ and these HUGE camps again this week so please please please reach out to me if you have things MJ can use. Wait until you pictures of these homeless camps, they are gigantic in size. Nobody else was around in these camps today except for MJ but we hope to bring the gospel to the rest of the residents here over this week

“Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ” – Galatians 6:2

Dutch here, I received a phone call from two homeless precious souls I’d previously met who were desperate to have their broken down old van towed to a new parking place. You see, these two precious souls live in this broken down old van but the local Denver government was actively trying to tow away this non-running vehicle… which would leave these two precious souls with absolutely nowhere to sleep and nothing left except the clothing on their back and backpack of earthly possessions.

The Apostle Paul plainly teaches us that it is our christian duty to help other people with their earthly burdens…and not just help other christian people but ALL people in their times of need. Of course Jesus also plainly taught this same lesson in the story of the Good Samaritan.

Anyhow, I got the phone call that they needed me and my pickup truck to tow their broken down old van to a new parking place. So I did, and then we went out for Chinese food dinner and the preacher friend of mine had previously given me some beautiful nearly new winter hiking boots and puffy goose down jackets which fit these two precious souls and made them look stylish and “not homeless” 🙂

God is good and he loves his precious lost sheep. These two precious souls have been homeless their entire teenage years and are now young men. They have no family who cares for them. But Jesus loves them and so do I and so should you. Praise God these two young men are entering USA Jobcorps this spring and want to learn trades and travel the country. God put into their hearts that the season of homelessness and poverty is about to end. Please pray for these two young men!

— and please get involved, I am only one man and there is a HUGE need out there in the Denver area – Amen!

“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them” – Ephesians 2:10

Apostolic Church of Littleton generously purchased gas cards for two precious homeless soul christians who both live in their cars near a gas station at Santa Fe in South Denver. Tonight I was able to locate them and give them this blessing. We were also able to give these two precious souls some McDonald’s burgers. The Apostle Paul wrote we should always strive to show kindness and charity to everyone but especially our fellow christian brothers and sisters:

“As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith” – Galatians 6:10

Please keep these two precious souls in your prayers that they would achieve a room for rent within their monthly government disability budgets so they can set down roots.

Praise God he gives us the privilege to minister to his sheep – dutch

Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.” – Matthew 25:44-46

Dutch here: my truck is broke down (exhaust manifold broken passenger side) but even though I am without my truck the devil can’t stop the gospel!

I went out ministering and gospel preaching with bicycle and trailer #3 from www.bikeshelters.org out to the homeless camps. Today I went out alone, weather was pleasant, warm and sunny, although very muddy and slushy everywhere from the melting snow.

I left at 1pm from the Apostolic Church of Littleton located near Littleton Boulevard and South Broadway and rode my bicycle and trailer #3 all the way down towards Dartmouth and Platte River Drive where Englewood borders city of Denver. This industrial area is popular with many, many homeless precious souls for many years.

Many of these homeless precious souls in this area I already know going back awhile. These precious souls sadly in so many cases never seem to rise up out of the crushing poverty and other factors such as drug and alcohol use and lack of family safety nets that have them downtrodden. But Jesus loves these lost sheep! And Jesus teaches us that these lost sheep are more valuable than all the gold and silver on planet earth! Remember in Genesis chapter 1 it says God made men in HIS IMAGE AND LIKENESS, imagine that for a minute…it doesn’t say that about any other creature God created…human beings are SPECIAL and PRECIOUS to the Lord!

When I pulled up to the various homeless camps I met many folks I already knew. I gave out bottles of water in Jesus name and new pairs of socks as well. We also did some praying and saying thanks to the Lord above for his blessing of water and socks. Fresh water is ALWAYS in short supply at the homeless camps and 3rd world disease and sickness from lack of clean drinking water is sadly very common. Long story short, a bottle of water is always a welcome gift to these precious lost sheep.

“For thou hast been a shelter for me” – Psalms 61:3

After prayers and handing out copies of Jesus Commandments, I showed off the bicycle trailer shelter to the various men I met and some of the women too. Everyone who saw the trailer shelter fell in love and wants one. And I along with Jesus want to make sure they get one as soon as possible…but that all costs money and time something some of you reading this possibly can help with? Contact me if you would like to help in some way.

Anyhow I am going to teach Ryan (plaid shirt and sunglasses) and Joseph (black sweatshirt) how to weld and fabricate at my home workshop so these two precious souls will learn real-world job skills but also learn to build their very own bicycle trailer shelter. In another picture you will see “Odie” (black sweatshirt) and “Cowboy” (gray sweatshirt cool huge beard) two more precious souls who I also invited over to a nice lunch at my workshop and then Lord willing an afternoon of me teaching them how to weld and fabricate. All of these precious lost sheep suffer daily and nightly sleeping under tarps on frozen ground dealing with rats and spiders. These precious souls want a shelter of their own so badly and here is our chance to give them one.

Anyhow if you know me personally, I am no athlete – I am crippled, middle aged, but I get by as best I can and I was able to ride my bicycle and the trailer shelter up and down big hills no problem. Bike shelter trailer #3 functions good and I really put some miles on it today ministering and gospel preaching, Jesus is the reason!

Enjoy these pictures and please pray for the spirit of marriage for Joseph and Ryan with their girlfriends. I have been counseling these young men awhile that they need to get married and get God’s blessing on their relationships. Please also just pray for these precious lost sheep to have their spiritual eyes opened and that they would draw close to the Lord and become christian followers of Jesus. – dutch

“Hast thou entered into the treasures of the snow?” – Job 38:22

Certainly cold snowy days are fine if you’re inside says most christians but imagine our homeless neighbors who have no warm home of their own to go inside to. Perhaps though, the Lord in his wisdom created cold, snowy, wintry days to serve as an opportunity for christians to earn the eternal treasure of persuading and winning souls for God’s kingdom

Today, our ministry went to the areas of Englewood and South Denver along Santa Fe / Highway 85 between Evans and Mississippi. I was joined by Sister Brenda, a bible teacher and worship leader, and Brother Ray, an elder both from the Apostolic Church of Littleton. The Holy Ghost spirit put on our hearts that today would be a good day to take some delicious hot bean & cheese burritos from the local Del Taco out to the homeless precious souls we encountered.

Imagine, there you are, cold and shivering, alone in your broken down old vehicle or under a tarp suffering through a cold, wintry day and a stranger walks up and offers you a hot meal, some brand new socks, hugs and prayers…imagine the glory that brings to Jesus! Many of them asked for humble things such as a job, or a wheelchair, or a vehicle that wasn’t broken down.

God has a plan for these precious souls, plans to prosper them, plans to release them from the curse of poverty…but God is waiting on us to do our part. The gospel MUST be preached, souls must be contended for! Pictures of the frontlines in the battle for souls posted below. Pray for more workers and consider joining us some Sunday afternoon – dutch

“And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men” – Matthew 4:19

Today we were blessed to have Brother Mark from Arapahoe Road Baptist Church of Littleton, Elder Ray from Apostolic Church of Littleton, Pastor Daniel from Englewood Bible Church, Brother Don from ShroudInquiry.com, Pastor Nicholas, and myself. We returned to Bear Valley area of Southwest Denver this time exploring the river valley between Wadsworth and Kipling.

Part of fishing is locating the fish. Last week we were given information that there were many homeless camps in this particular area but today we looked around and saw none. But although we found no homeless camps in the area between Wadsworth and Kipling along Bear Creek, we did have an excellent time of getting to know one another in christian camaraderie doing the Lord’s Work of fishing for the souls of men. We walked as a group over to the east side of Wadsworth where we were last week and Pastor Nicholas and Pastor Daniel located one new camp way down in the river valley while myself, Elder Ray, and Brother Don met some young skateboarders whom we gave bottles of water and copies of Jesus Commandments to. We returned to our vehicles and split up as a group.

Elder Ray and myself drove to the homeless camps along the Platte River industrial areas of Englewood and met some folks living in a broken down RV. We prayed with these folks, gave them bottles of fresh water, a new pair of work boots in men’s size 9.5 to a precious soul named Dave. Of course, the new pair of boots we happened to have with us were the EXACT SIZE Dave happened to wear and he was in dire need of new boots. Jesus knew all along Dave needed boots and we were blessed to be the people to bring that blessing to Dave. God is GOOD.

Not many pictures taken today, my apologies but here are a few below:

As always, thank you for your prayers for this ministry. God is growing this humble ministry for his glory and his kingdom, today was evidence of that.
