“Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ” – Galatians 6:2
Dutch here, I received a phone call from two homeless precious souls I’d previously met who were desperate to have their broken down old van towed to a new parking place. You see, these two precious souls live in this broken down old van but the local Denver government was actively trying to tow away this non-running vehicle… which would leave these two precious souls with absolutely nowhere to sleep and nothing left except the clothing on their back and backpack of earthly possessions.
The Apostle Paul plainly teaches us that it is our christian duty to help other people with their earthly burdens…and not just help other christian people but ALL people in their times of need. Of course Jesus also plainly taught this same lesson in the story of the Good Samaritan.
Anyhow, I got the phone call that they needed me and my pickup truck to tow their broken down old van to a new parking place. So I did, and then we went out for Chinese food dinner and the preacher friend of mine had previously given me some beautiful nearly new winter hiking boots and puffy goose down jackets which fit these two precious souls and made them look stylish and “not homeless” 🙂
God is good and he loves his precious lost sheep. These two precious souls have been homeless their entire teenage years and are now young men. They have no family who cares for them. But Jesus loves them and so do I and so should you. Praise God these two young men are entering USA Jobcorps this spring and want to learn trades and travel the country. God put into their hearts that the season of homelessness and poverty is about to end. Please pray for these two young men!
— and please get involved, I am only one man and there is a HUGE need out there in the Denver area – Amen!
