“Hast thou entered into the treasures of the snow?” – Job 38:22
Certainly cold snowy days are fine if you’re inside says most christians but imagine our homeless neighbors who have no warm home of their own to go inside to. Perhaps though, the Lord in his wisdom created cold, snowy, wintry days to serve as an opportunity for christians to earn the eternal treasure of persuading and winning souls for God’s kingdom
Today, our ministry went to the areas of Englewood and South Denver along Santa Fe / Highway 85 between Evans and Mississippi. I was joined by Sister Brenda, a bible teacher and worship leader, and Brother Ray, an elder both from the Apostolic Church of Littleton. The Holy Ghost spirit put on our hearts that today would be a good day to take some delicious hot bean & cheese burritos from the local Del Taco out to the homeless precious souls we encountered.
Imagine, there you are, cold and shivering, alone in your broken down old vehicle or under a tarp suffering through a cold, wintry day and a stranger walks up and offers you a hot meal, some brand new socks, hugs and prayers…imagine the glory that brings to Jesus! Many of them asked for humble things such as a job, or a wheelchair, or a vehicle that wasn’t broken down.
God has a plan for these precious souls, plans to prosper them, plans to release them from the curse of poverty…but God is waiting on us to do our part. The gospel MUST be preached, souls must be contended for! Pictures of the frontlines in the battle for souls posted below. Pray for more workers and consider joining us some Sunday afternoon – dutch
