“For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another. But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared” – Titus 3:3-4
We made burritos and had sister Brenda, sister Tierra, and the teenagers from church come out to the various homeless encampments. This was the first time for many of the teenagers seeing these homeless camps and how these folks live. Eye opening unforgettable experience. Most folks accepted the food and offers of prayers with thankfulness while a few rejected both. Sister Tierra and teenager Josh were a big blessing today and prayed for many we encountered. The central message today was that Jesus loves these precious souls no matter where they are currently at or what they are dealing with, Jesus loves them and wants them to turn from drugs and alcohol and turn to Jesus. Many of the folks we encountered have been homeless for many years…we pray that they heed Jesus message to turn from sin and come to the Lord….Salvation, forgiveness, and a new chapter in their lives await all those who turn to Jesus…we pray that they heed this invitation.
