“Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.” – Matthew 25:44-46
Dutch here: my truck is broke down (exhaust manifold broken passenger side) but even though I am without my truck the devil can’t stop the gospel!
I went out ministering and gospel preaching with bicycle and trailer #3 from www.bikeshelters.org out to the homeless camps. Today I went out alone, weather was pleasant, warm and sunny, although very muddy and slushy everywhere from the melting snow.
I left at 1pm from the Apostolic Church of Littleton located near Littleton Boulevard and South Broadway and rode my bicycle and trailer #3 all the way down towards Dartmouth and Platte River Drive where Englewood borders city of Denver. This industrial area is popular with many, many homeless precious souls for many years.
Many of these homeless precious souls in this area I already know going back awhile. These precious souls sadly in so many cases never seem to rise up out of the crushing poverty and other factors such as drug and alcohol use and lack of family safety nets that have them downtrodden. But Jesus loves these lost sheep! And Jesus teaches us that these lost sheep are more valuable than all the gold and silver on planet earth! Remember in Genesis chapter 1 it says God made men in HIS IMAGE AND LIKENESS, imagine that for a minute…it doesn’t say that about any other creature God created…human beings are SPECIAL and PRECIOUS to the Lord!
When I pulled up to the various homeless camps I met many folks I already knew. I gave out bottles of water in Jesus name and new pairs of socks as well. We also did some praying and saying thanks to the Lord above for his blessing of water and socks. Fresh water is ALWAYS in short supply at the homeless camps and 3rd world disease and sickness from lack of clean drinking water is sadly very common. Long story short, a bottle of water is always a welcome gift to these precious lost sheep.
“For thou hast been a shelter for me” – Psalms 61:3
After prayers and handing out copies of Jesus Commandments, I showed off the bicycle trailer shelter to the various men I met and some of the women too. Everyone who saw the trailer shelter fell in love and wants one. And I along with Jesus want to make sure they get one as soon as possible…but that all costs money and time something some of you reading this possibly can help with? Contact me if you would like to help in some way.
Anyhow I am going to teach Ryan (plaid shirt and sunglasses) and Joseph (black sweatshirt) how to weld and fabricate at my home workshop so these two precious souls will learn real-world job skills but also learn to build their very own bicycle trailer shelter. In another picture you will see “Odie” (black sweatshirt) and “Cowboy” (gray sweatshirt cool huge beard) two more precious souls who I also invited over to a nice lunch at my workshop and then Lord willing an afternoon of me teaching them how to weld and fabricate. All of these precious lost sheep suffer daily and nightly sleeping under tarps on frozen ground dealing with rats and spiders. These precious souls want a shelter of their own so badly and here is our chance to give them one.
Anyhow if you know me personally, I am no athlete – I am crippled, middle aged, but I get by as best I can and I was able to ride my bicycle and the trailer shelter up and down big hills no problem. Bike shelter trailer #3 functions good and I really put some miles on it today ministering and gospel preaching, Jesus is the reason!
Enjoy these pictures and please pray for the spirit of marriage for Joseph and Ryan with their girlfriends. I have been counseling these young men awhile that they need to get married and get God’s blessing on their relationships. Please also just pray for these precious lost sheep to have their spiritual eyes opened and that they would draw close to the Lord and become christian followers of Jesus. – dutch
