“And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men” – Matthew 4:19
Today we were blessed to have Brother Mark from Arapahoe Road Baptist Church of Littleton, Elder Ray from Apostolic Church of Littleton, Pastor Daniel from Englewood Bible Church, Brother Don from ShroudInquiry.com, Pastor Nicholas, and myself. We returned to Bear Valley area of Southwest Denver this time exploring the river valley between Wadsworth and Kipling.
Part of fishing is locating the fish. Last week we were given information that there were many homeless camps in this particular area but today we looked around and saw none. But although we found no homeless camps in the area between Wadsworth and Kipling along Bear Creek, we did have an excellent time of getting to know one another in christian camaraderie doing the Lord’s Work of fishing for the souls of men. We walked as a group over to the east side of Wadsworth where we were last week and Pastor Nicholas and Pastor Daniel located one new camp way down in the river valley while myself, Elder Ray, and Brother Don met some young skateboarders whom we gave bottles of water and copies of Jesus Commandments to. We returned to our vehicles and split up as a group.
Elder Ray and myself drove to the homeless camps along the Platte River industrial areas of Englewood and met some folks living in a broken down RV. We prayed with these folks, gave them bottles of fresh water, a new pair of work boots in men’s size 9.5 to a precious soul named Dave. Of course, the new pair of boots we happened to have with us were the EXACT SIZE Dave happened to wear and he was in dire need of new boots. Jesus knew all along Dave needed boots and we were blessed to be the people to bring that blessing to Dave. God is GOOD.
Not many pictures taken today, my apologies but here are a few below:
As always, thank you for your prayers for this ministry. God is growing this humble ministry for his glory and his kingdom, today was evidence of that.
